02 · THE MEMORY LAYER
The log.
wiki/log.md
A dated diary of every ingest. Newest at top, append-only, never rewritten. The log is what makes the wiki honest: it tells you which source produced which page, when, and what conflicts it raised.
One entry per ingest run. Past entries are never edited — corrections add new corrective entries instead.
What an entry looks like

Rules
- One entry per ingest run. Never batched, never silently amended.
- Newest at the top. The log reads like a diary, not a changelog.
- Append-only. Past entries are never edited or deleted.
- If a prior ingest got something wrong, write a new corrective entry. Don't rewrite history.
- Contradictions surfaced today must also appear in
index.mdunder Open contradictions.
